“I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver." – Maya Angelou
Here's a look back at our social impact day in Bali and how giving is
good for our mental and wholistic well-being!
In a world where personal well-being and social impact go hand in hand, Utopia Global Wellness Women's CEO and Leadership Retreat embarked on a transformative journey in Bali. At the heart of this experience was their partnership with Kopernik, a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing poverty by experimenting with potential solutions that address common challenges facing people living in the last mile. This extraordinary collaboration brought together a diverse group of individuals, all sharing a common goal: to create a positive impact on the world and, in turn, enhance our sense of purpose well-being.
Our time together included the following:
A Utopia Talk: "Creating Your Utopia in Times of Adversity"
The day kicked off with a thought-provoking Utopia Talk by Naya F. Powell, the founder and CEO of Utopia Global Wellness. In her address, she explored the powerful connection between nurturing well-being, fulfillment, purpose, and impact. It set the stage for the day's activities, emphasizing that by fostering well-being and pursuing a greater purpose, we can create our own utopias even in the face of adversity.
Utopia GW Founder Wellness Segment
The day's agenda included two enlightening segments focused on personal well-being: 1. "Release" - Breathwork led by Priya Amaresh: Participants learned to let go of stress and negativity, fostering a sense of renewal and inner peace. Breathwork is a powerful tool for improving mental and emotional well-being. 2. "Elevate" - Seated Yoga led by Kavitha Kakarala: Seated yoga is a mindful practice that promotes physical and mental wellness. By grounding themselves through yoga, attendees elevated their sense of self and purpose.
Empowerment Circle: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs
An empowering discussion took center stage, with a focus on women entrepreneurs. The session aimed to build resilience and sustainability through the entrepreneurial journey. The importance of supporting and empowering women in business cannot be overstated, and this segment highlighted the impact it can have on both individuals and global communities. This rich conversation included the women of Kopernik and retreat attendees, Lebone Moses, Investor and Entrepreneur, Priya Amaresh, Utopia GW, Wellness Instructor and Duke University Chaplain, Kavitha Kakarala, Yoga Instructor and Lululemon Ambassador, Alexis Francis, Tech Leader, Dr. Chrisna Perry, founder and CEO, Val Murray retired Director of Senergy Group Investments. Utopia Living's partnership with Kopernik exemplifies how social impact initiatives can be a driving force for positive change. A special thank you to Gumilang Andika, Associate Program Manager, for your partnership and gracious hospitality. As a testament to the power of innovation in addressing social issues, attendees had the privilege of touring the Kopernik headquarters. They witnessed first-hand the incredible innovations emerging from Indonesian founders, such as Tungga Dewi, CEO of Perfect Fit. This experience provided a unique insight into the tangible and remarkable changes being made in the world through social entrepreneurship. In summary, Utopia Living's social impact day in Bali with Kopernik beautifully illustrates the notion that "Utopia Living is Giving." By giving back to the community and partnering with organizations like Kopernik, we not only uplift those in need but also enhance our own well-being. This event is a testament to the belief that, in our pursuit of creating a better world, we can also find our own utopia filled with well-being, fulfillment, purpose, and impact. It's a powerful reminder that social impact and personal well-being are intrinsically connected, and when we give, we receive in abundance.
