ANTOINETTE  ALTEMUS

Antoinette Altemus, PhD is a Charlotte, NC based Doctor of Counseling Psychology. She is the consummate healthcare professional having spent the past 45 years working in Nursing, Healthcare Management, Disability and Counseling. 

 

Antoinette earned her BSN from Howard University, her MS in Health Administration from Texas Woman’s University and her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Carolina University of Theology. Her niche is health/wellness and grief/loss recovery and her counseling is founded and grounded on spiritual and biblical principles that also guide her daily life. 

 

Antoinette is also passionate about medical missionary work and has traveled to 5 continents to deliver global healthcare services. She is married, has 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Antoinette enjoys fitness, music, writing poetry and travel.

JANET DIONNE

Janet Dionne is a Certified Health and Wellness Coach, graduating from the Mayo Clinic Health and Wellness Coaching Program. Ms. Dionne has been coaching clients to be their best selves for 15 years. Janet’s specialties include mindfulness (Ms. Dionne has studied under Dr. Amit Sood of the Mayo Clinic), weight management, PTSD and the relaxation response. Ms. Dionne is also an Advance Practice Registered Nurse and has practiced for over 30 years.

Janet’s goal is to assist clients to explore their strengths and opportunities to improve her/his life and to live the best life possible.

JESSICA MONEÁ EVANS

Jessica Moneà Evans is a multifaceted artist and manager from Raleigh, North Carolina.

Throughout her career, Jessica has traveled the world managing a variety of dance and theater productions, wellness retreats in Ghana (and beyond) and comedy shows at organizations such as CBS, The California Institution for Women and Sundance Theater Lab to name a few. Jessica Evans always utilized a movement practice as a regiment when managing events to maintain sanity throughout the production process. 

 

In 2015 she met her amazing mentor Tanita Fadyeyola the founder and creator of the movement modality, Afrofunk Dance Fitness. A fusion of movements from around the world that inspires positive transformation and growth. They have taken their movement affirmations on The Tom Joyner and Capital Jazz Cruise, facilitated corporate wellness retreats for ABC, LinkedIn and more. Jessica now has her own production company called Nu-Bein Management, which hosts the fitness aspect of Nu-Bein Dance Fit.

JOE BURGE

Joe is a certified health and wellness coach and guided imagery practitioner. His coaching practice focuses on stress management and discovering deeper purpose and fulfillment.

 

Mindfulness and meditation are central to Joe’s work, as well as listening with compassion and supporting his clients’ individual needs and goals. Joe holds a Master’s degree in Integrative Health Studies through which he is versed in mind/body/spirit wellness coaching, holistic well-being, mindfulness practice, mindset, healthy lifestyle behavior change, natural and indigenous healing, and more. For over two years Joe has enjoyed helping clients connect more deeply with themselves and achieve their wellness goals.

LESLIE STEVENS

Leslie Stevens, M.Ed., LCMHC is a North Carolina and Virginia board-certified licensed professional counselor. She has successfully helped hundreds of people navigate stress, depression, anxiety, and perfectionism. Leslie is the co-founder of the Congruence Counseling Group, PLLC located in Carrboro, NC. 

 

The Congruence Counseling Group is a space that she co-created to serve the ever-growing population seeking mental health counseling. In addition to serving as a licensed clinical mental health counselor, she has been a leader, speaker, teacher, mentor, and administrator in various settings for over 15 years. She has also served in ministry in the local church. As a natural empath, Leslie can feel deeply. Her passion and purpose in life is HEALING. Through counseling, she helps people understand their own thoughts, feelings, and patterns and facilitates healing through that work. Leslie shows up with accurate empathic understanding, unconditional positive regard, and congruence. Her work is deeply rooted in Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

SMITA (LUNA) SHARMA

Smita Sharma (Luna) is an International Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher, trained in India in Swami Sivananda's form of Hatha Yoga. Originating from a family of Yogis, meditation has always been part of her life, she has been actively practicing it since 2001.  She specializes in Yogic meditation practice of Yog Nidra & Antar Moun and has received advance training under the lineage of Bihar School of Yoga, Munger (India) established by Swami Satyanand Saraswati.  She trained in Mindfulness from MNDFL Studios (NYC), Mindful Schools and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program at UMass Medical School - Center for Mindfulness.  

These traditional & secular trainings have enabled her to create unique programs that incorporate ancient Meditation techniques with modern, well researched & simplified Mindfulness tools.  Luna has lived and worked in 3 continents (India, New Zealand & United States) and as a worldly, adventurous spirit is skilled in employing global, ancient concepts in combination with certified, national practices.

MEG BERG

Meg has been teaching Group Fitness classes for ten years. including Barre, Yoga and Pilates. A ballet inspired workout that is a combination of Barre, Pilates and Yoga.

The class will tone your arms, legs and core with small controlled movements that lengthen and strengthen your body. A low impact workout with with cardio segments as well as mindful movements using only a Yoga mat, light weights(2-5 lbs) and Pilates/Playground ball. 

 

Her goal is to motivate you with her passion and excitement for fitness in a warm and welcoming environment. Meg's focus is to offer exciting classes that encourage and challenge you to reach your goals.

RAVEN GIBBS

Raven Gibbs is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Psychology and Sociology with a concentration in Law and Cognitive Science. She is currently in pursuit of a degree in MS Clinical Mental Health Counseling! Her current certifications include The Science of Well-Being (Yale University), Healing With the Arts (University of Florida) and Mental Health Management During Covid-19 (University of Toronto).

 

Over the years, she has worked tirelessly to ensure that her community was supported, loved and encouraged. Raven had a vision and executed a plan to address mental health challenges via dance to individuals that were not open to traditional therapeutic techniques and interventions. Her work has since been seen on Tyler Perry Studios, BET, BETher, Essence, Steve Harvey, Georgetown University, XONecole, Spirituality & Health Magazine, 102Jamz, Foxy 107/104, Spectacular Magazine, The CW, and more!

Yoga has been a transformative journey for Su from the moment she began her journey 12 years ago.  Su uses yoga to build awareness, achieve clarity in thought and improve psychological and physical resilience.  Her teaching blends mindful movement with efficient alignment for a sustainable, injury-free practice.

TARA YOUNG

Tara's formal training includes a residential study retreat at Satchindananda ashram where she was involved in the Living Yoga Training program, including the comprehensive study of the four paths of yoga, which are karma, raja, bhakti, and jnana. Additionally, she has been fortunate to not once, but twice study under the renowned yoga instructor, Dashama Gordon in pursuit of my Yoga Alliance instructor certifications. Along with Yoga work, she also studied the nutritional benefits of clean, organic, and raw lifestyles including juicing.  Her next training was in Bali again with Dashama Gordon to obtain her Advanced Instructor Certificate (500 RYT). Along with a deeper Yoga study, that includes: studying anatomy, pranayama, meditation, chanting, guided healing meditations known as yoga nidra, deep relaxation therapies, Thai bodywork, the Tibetan Rites, Thai chi and Qigong breath work and postures, acro-yoga, chakra balancing, and playing the singing and Tibetan bowls. 

 

Global teachings, include India and Indonesia, enabling her to earn her E-500 RYT.
